Light Industry, a decisive factor for the economy in 2015

With more than 400 million pesos for the assurance of raw materials, the Enterprise of Light Industry (GEMPIL) this year expects to meet its production plan, aimed primarily at meeting demand in the retail sales network in the country. Roberto Cabrera, president, told AIN that this funding will increase by 19.3 percent levels of activity, and this increased to 85 percent, on average, the capacity utilization of available entity. Above all, said the president of GEMPIL, given the need to strengthen the productive capacities, from increased imports of raw materials to add value to the productions, and reduce traditional purchases of finished goods. In this regard, he stressed the importance of having evaluated and defined the plan with the Ministry of Economy and Planning at an early date to start last August, which enabled the light industry already owns 266 million contracted pesos in commodities, he said.
